WELCOME to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Blog
The 22nd FIFA World Cup, an international men's football competition held every four years between the senior national teams of FIFA member nations, is scheduled to take place in 2022. Qatar will act as the host nation from November 20 through December 18, 2022. This will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world and the second World Cup entirely held in Asia following the events in South Korea and Japan in 2002. The tournament will also include 32 teams for the last time; the tournament in the United States, Mexico, and Canada in 2026 will have 48 teams instead.
Due to the intense summer heat in Qatar, this Football World Cup will be contested over a shorter period of time—roughly 29 days. The competition will run from late November to mid-December. On December 18, 2022, which also happens to be Qatar National Day, the final is set to take place. The current World Cup champion is France.

Qatar is a peninsular Arab nation with a harsh desert and a lengthy stretch of beaches and dunes along the Persian (Arab) Gulf coast. The capital of Doha, which is also on the shore, is well-known for its futuristic skyscrapers and other ultramodern buildings with ancient Islamic design.
Doha, the capital of Qatar, is a reference to the rounded bays that surround the region's coastline and is an Arabic word that means "roundness." Doha is situated on the country's eastern coast. It serves as an important commercial hub and is home to several contemporary landmarks, government agencies, business and financial institutions, and new ports and airports that connect it to the outside world.
Doha is known for its numerous mosques, towers, and forts, including the Doha Fort and Barzan Towers, and it combines modernity and history. Along with its historical sites, Doha is known for its excellent infrastructure, stunning high-rise structures in the city center, and a variety of modern malls.
In recent years, Doha has played host to several international sporting events. Prior to hosting the AFC Asian Cup in 2011, it hosted the Asian Games in 2006. The city is a desirable destination for the top athletes in the globe because to its numerous top-notch athletic facilities, which include six FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 venues.

Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022 Venues
With a total of eight venues set to be used for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, fans from all corners of the globe will have the chance to experience first-hand the Arabian Peninsula’s passion for football. Although cooling systems will be installed in the stadiums in an effort to lower indoor temperatures by up to 20 °C (36 °F), it is yet unknown whether these systems will be effective in the open-air stadiums. The upper tiers of the stadiums will be disassembled after the World Cup and donated to nations with less established sporting facilities, according to their marketing, which describes the stadiums as Zero Waste.
Of the eight stadiums, only Al Bayt Stadium will be utilized indoors.
-Al Janoub Stadium: A total of seven games in the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be played at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah. With the exception of Lusail Iconic Stadium and Al Bayt Stadium, it has a minimum capacity of 40,000 spectators.
